In this digital era, technology is constantly evolving and has definitely touched our lives in more ways than we understand. Digital transformation is not just using of new technologies but is a means to create business value and rich customer experience. It is the usage of emerging technologies to solve real-world problems and simplify lives.

Digitization and digitalization are interchangeably used; however, they are not same. Digitization refer to optimizing of business process, which is usually less complex and does not deal with entire organization (such as optimization of a process for a particular department to go from paper-based working to digital process). On the other hand, Digitalization is much wider transformation effecting entire organization to solve business problems and create value.  

Digital transformation incorporates both digitization and digitalization. It is not a onetime activity, in-fact it is a lifelong journey for adopting a digital business, connecting the dots between digital initiatives, strategy, and business enablement. This is a wider change for the organization and its culture, which goes beyond - just implementing a technology solution.
