Oluwasegun Sonola

Oluwasegun is Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance in the Risk Advisory Services practice. He has over 12 years’ experience in providing assurance and advisory services to clients in various industries including financial services, manufacturing, FMCG, real estate and hospitality.

Oluwasegun has experience in performing and managing risk assessments, risk-based internal audit reviews, corporate governance reviews, IT reviews, internal controls reviews, data analytics and compliance reviews. He is currently the engagement leader for several listed companies, regulated entities and large groups in the UAE. Oluwasegun manages client relationships and engages effectively with the audit committees of his clients.

Prior to joining BDO, he was associated with the Risk Consulting practice of KPMG where he led teams in performing business continuity management projects, control environment reviews, IT application and general controls reviews, Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs), data analytics and information risk management in external audits.

Oluwasegun has a bachelor's degree in Engineering.
